Carl Engstrom
To see the World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

About Carl Engstrom
I am a software engineer based in Atlanta. I grew up in Chicago, lived in the United Kingdom while in the U.S. Air Force and moved to Atlanta to work at Delta Air Lines as an airframe & powerplant mechanic.
I am enthusiastic about science and technology and love to learn how things work. While in the USAF, an introduction to computer programming awakened me to my true calling. I taught myself Visual Basic, C, C++ and more. While with Delta, I became a professional software engineer.
Since then, I've earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and enjoyed teamwork and leadership on numerous software projects ranging in emphasis from enterprise architecture to front end development. I work hard and don't take myself too seriously.
Lately, I've been working with .NET, C# and WPF — as well as full stack, responsive web design and development in Linux and Windows with both open source and proprietary platform stacks.
Thanks for visiting.
